Antam gold price rises to Rp2.635 million per gram on Wednesday

The price of Antam gold rose by Rp20,000 to Rp2.635 million per gram on Wednesday, returning to the level last recorded on 13 July. The buyback price also increased to Rp2.382 million per gram. Buyback transactions exceeding Rp10 million are subject to a 1.5 percent income tax (PPh) under Article 22, which is deducted directly from the total transaction value. According to Finance Minister Regulation No. 34/PMK.10/2017, purchases of gold bullion are subject to PPh 22 at a rate of 0.45 percent for taxpayers with a Tax Identification Number (NPWP) and 0.9 percent for those without. Each purchase of gold bullion is accompanied by a PPh 22 withholding tax receipt. The complete list of base prices is as follows: 0.5 gram at Rp1,367,500; 1 gram at Rp2,635,000; 2 grams at Rp5,210,000; 3 grams at Rp7,790,000; 5 grams at Rp12,950,000; 10 grams at Rp25,845,000; 25 grams at Rp64,487,000; 50 grams at Rp128,895,000; 100 grams at Rp257,712,000; 250 grams at Rp644,015,000; 500 grams at Rp1,287,820,000; and 1,000 grams at Rp2,575,600,000.
