Antam Gold Price Rises Rp 50,000 in a Week, Buyback Surges Even Higher
JAKARTA – Antam gold prices over the past week moved fluctuatively with a tendency to strengthen compared to the beginning of the week. According to the official Logam Mulia website, on Monday (30/3/2026), Antam gold prices fell Rp 30,000 per gram from Rp 2,837,000 to Rp 2,807,000. Antam gold buyback prices also weakened by Rp 36,000 to Rp 2,425,000 per gram. The pressure continued on Tuesday (31/3/2026). Antam gold prices dropped Rp 10,000 per gram to Rp 2,827,000, while buyback prices fell Rp 11,000 to Rp 2,477,000 per gram. Strengthening continued on Thursday (2/4/2026). Antam gold prices rose Rp 20,000 per gram to Rp 2,922,000, while buyback prices strengthened by Rp 50,000 to Rp 2,637,000 per gram. However, prices came under pressure again on Friday (3/4/2026). Antam gold prices plunged Rp 65,000 per gram to Rp 2,857,000. Buyback prices also dropped Rp 60,000 to Rp 2,577,000 per gram. Gold prices tended to stagnate on Saturday (4/4/2026). Antam gold prices remained at Rp 2,857,000 per gram, while buyback prices also held steady at Rp 2,577,000 per gram. Meanwhile, Antam gold buyback prices rose Rp 152,000 per gram over the same period, from Rp 2,425,000 to Rp 2,577,000 per gram. Buyback is the price received by gold owners when selling back Antam gold to Logam Mulia. According to regulations, purchases of gold bars are subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 at 0.9%. Buyers who provide a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) receive a lower rate of 0.25%. Every purchase is accompanied by a PPh 22 withholding receipt. For buyback transactions valued over Rp 10 million, PPh 22 is imposed at 1.5% for NPWP holders and 3% for non-NPWP holders, deducted directly from the buyback value.
