Antam Gold Price Falls by Rp 62,000 Over the Week, Buyback Weakens
Jakarta – Antam gold prices moved volatilely over the past week with a weakening trend towards the end of the week. The decline occurred after Antam gold prices had strengthened mid-week.
Based on the official Logam Mulia website, on Monday (9 March 2026), Antam gold price fell Rp 55,000 per gram to Rp 3,004,000. Meanwhile, Antam gold buyback price also fell Rp 65,000 per gram to Rp 2,757,000.
Price movement reversed on Tuesday (10 March 2026). Antam gold price rose Rp 8,000 per gram to Rp 3,047,000 per gram. Antam gold buyback price also rose Rp 14,000 to Rp 2,802,000 per gram.
However, the trend weakened again on Thursday (12 March 2026). Antam gold price fell Rp 45,000 per gram to Rp 3,042,000 per gram. Antam gold buyback price also fell Rp 43,000 to Rp 2,804,000 per gram.
The decline continued on Friday (13 March 2026). Antam gold price fell Rp 21,000 per gram to Rp 3,021,000 per gram. Antam gold buyback price also fell Rp 21,000 to Rp 2,783,000 per gram.
On Saturday (14 March 2026), Antam gold price weakened again. Gold price fell Rp 24,000 per gram to Rp 2,997,000 per gram. Antam gold buyback price also fell Rp 34,000 to Rp 2,749,000 per gram.
Meanwhile, Antam gold buyback price fell Rp 73,000 per gram during the same period, from Rp 2,822,000 on Sunday (8 March 2026) to Rp 2,749,000 per gram.
Buyback is the price received by gold owners when selling Antam gold back to Logam Mulia.
According to regulations, purchases of gold bars are subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 at 0.9 per cent. Buyers who provide a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) receive a lower rate of 0.25 per cent. Each purchase is accompanied by a PPh 22 withholding certificate.
For buyback transactions exceeding Rp 10 million, PPh 22 is applied at 1.5 per cent for NPWP holders and 3 per cent for non-NPWP holders, deducted directly from the buyback value.
