Antam Gold Price Drops Rp 104,000 in One Week, Buyback Price Also Plummets
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The price of Antam gold has moved fluctuatively over the past week but has tended to weaken until the end of the weekend. According to the official Logam Mulia website, on Monday (16/3/2026), the Antam gold price fell by Rp 5,000 per gram to Rp 2,992,000. Meanwhile, the Antam gold buyback price also dropped by Rp 5,000 per gram to Rp 2,744,000. The gold price movement weakened again on Tuesday (17/3/2026). The Antam gold price fell by Rp 4,000 per gram to Rp 2,988,000. The Antam gold buyback price also declined by Rp 4,000 to Rp 2,740,000 per gram. However, the trend weakened further on Thursday (19/3/2026). The Antam gold price plunged by Rp 53,000 per gram to Rp 2,943,000. The Antam gold buyback price also fell sharply by Rp 83,000 to Rp 2,665,000 per gram. The decline continued on Friday (20/3/2026). The Antam gold price fell by Rp 50,000 per gram to Rp 2,893,000. The Antam gold buyback price also dropped by Rp 55,000 to Rp 2,610,000 per gram. Thus, over the week, the Antam gold price recorded a decline of Rp 104,000 per gram, from Rp 2,997,000 on Sunday (15/3/2026) to Rp 2,893,000 on Saturday (21/3/2026). Meanwhile, the Antam gold buyback price fell by Rp 139,000 per gram over the same period, from Rp 2,749,000 on Sunday (15/3/2026) to Rp 2,610,000 per gram. Buyback is the price received by gold owners when selling back Antam gold to Logam Mulia. According to regulations, the purchase of gold bars is subject to Article 22 Income Tax (PPh) of 0.9%. Buyers who provide a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) receive a lower rate of 0.25%. Every purchase is accompanied by an Article 22 PPh withholding receipt. For buyback transactions valued over Rp 10 million, Article 22 PPh is imposed at 1.5% for NPWP holders and 3% for non-NPWP holders, deducted directly from the buyback value.
