The Secretariat of the West Java Provincial DPRD held an environmental clean-up action as a form of support for the Indonesia ASRI Movement. The activity, known as the ant operation, was carried out around the West Java DPRD office area on Monday (6/4/2026).

The Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Dody Sukmayana, stated that the action is a follow-up to the Governor of West Java’s Circular Number 28/LH.01.04.02/DLH dated 26 February 2026 regarding the Implementation of the Indonesia ASRI Movement. According to him, the movement is also part of efforts to build collective awareness in maintaining cleanliness and the quality of the work environment.

“We support the Indonesia ASRI Movement through clean-up activities involving all employees in the DPRD West Java Secretariat environment,” said Dody.

He explained that the activity is carried out routinely twice a week, namely every Monday and Wednesday, for one hour before office activities begin, from 08.00 to 09.00 WIB.

For its implementation, the activity area is divided into four zones. The first area covers the area around Pullman Bandung and Grand Central Hotel, handled by the Programme and Finance Section. The second area is at the West Java DPRD Building and the courtyard of the MPR RI Asset Building by the General Section.

The third area covers the area around Bancakan Restaurant and Bank Mandiri Taspen, which is the responsibility of the Facilitation, Budgeting, and Supervision Section. Meanwhile, the fourth area is in the Jalan Aria Jipang area, handled by the Protocol, Sessions, and Legislation Section.

Dody added that all employees are urged to bring cleaning equipment from home, clean the designated areas, and sort organic and inorganic waste in the available places. In addition, every activity is also documented and reported as part of the programme implementation evaluation.

He explained that the Indonesia ASRI Movement covers four main aspects. First, the safe aspect, which emphasises environmental security, risk mitigation, and public space order, including control of waste and hazardous waste.

Second, the healthy aspect, which focuses on improving environmental quality to support public health, such as sanitation management, provision of clean water, and pollution control. Third, the clean aspect, which emphasises environmental cleanliness through routine community work, optimisation of source-based waste management, and periodic inspections.

The last aspect is beautiful, which is oriented towards environmental aesthetics and public space comfort. This is realised through garden arrangement, tree planting, advertisement control, and gradual infrastructure rejuvenation.

Through this movement, the West Java DPRD Secretariat hopes to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable work environment, while encouraging active participation from all elements of society in preserving the environment.
