Ansett adds Bali flight
Ansett adds Bali flight
SYDNEY (Dow Jones): Ansett Australia Holdings Ltd., an
Australian international airline company, yesterday said it has
added an extra flight per week to its Australia-Indonesia routing
schedule.
Air New Zealand and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. have equal
stakes in the company.
The new flight will run from Darwin to Bali starting Oct. 1
and supplement two existing Australia-Bali flights.
"While the Asian downturn has initially affected outbound
traffic to some Asian holiday markets, Ansett has experienced 30%
passenger growth to Bali over the last year - the combined result
of a favorable exchange rate and the huge number of affordable
packages on offer," the general manager of Ansett's international
division, Craig Wallace said.
