Another Padel Court Sealed Over Permit, Now in North Jakarta
The North Jakarta City Administration’s Sub-Department for Public Works, Spatial Planning, and Land (Sudin CKTRP) sealed the operations of two padel courts in the Ancol and Penjaringan areas due to the absence of an administrative permit in the form of a Building Permit (Persetujuan Bangunan Gedung – PBG). The sealing constitutes an administrative sanction.
“This sealing is an administrative sanction against the operations of the two padel courts, located in the Ancol and Penjaringan areas,” said Herry Priyatno, head of the CKTRP Sub-Department for North Jakarta City Administration, as reported by Antara, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.
Sudin CKTRP Jakut together with other regional government units (UKPD) from the Jakarta North City Government carried out enforcement of the administrative sanction in the form of a permanent halt of activities or sealing. It was stated that the padel courts’ operations could resume after the owner has applied for and obtained the PBG.
“There is no deadline for the sealing. However, the faster the permits are processed, the sooner the padel courts can resume operations,” said Herry.
Nevertheless, he said the agency is ready to assist with the permitting process. He hopes padel operators to obtain the permits before carrying out construction activities.
Meanwhile, the Padel Court Operations Manager in the Ancol area, Petrus Assa, admitted the fault of not having a PBG. He said that the permit is actually being processed, only not yet in the issuance stage.
“We are complying with the requirements, other permits, such as IMB, which we already have,” he said.
