Another Nigerian held for fake bills

JAKARTA (JP): Police arrested a Nigerian man Saturday at 9:45
p.m. for possessing counterfeit dollars with a face value of
US$2,000, one day after another Nigerian was arrested on the same
charges.

The latest suspect, James Olumakinwa Olorunda Oluwasanmi, a
pharmacist born in 1953, told police he acquired the bills when
he exchanged his Nigerian currency at a money changer at the
airport in Lagos, Nigeria.

A source said the suspect, holding a business visa, was
carrying 12 $100 bills with the same serial number and eight
others with different serial numbers.

City Police Detective Chief Col. Paimin Aboeamr confirmed
yesterday that the suspect was being held at City Police
headquarters.

On Friday, a Nigerian was arrested for carrying bills with a
total face value of $2,000, which police said were fake based on
authenticity tests conducted at Soekarno-Hatta International
Airport. Both arrests took place here. (04/anr)
