Another Customs Official to Stand Trial in Importation Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has transferred another customs official in the importation bribery case, namely Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP), who serves as Head of the Excise Intelligence Section at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Budiman will soon stand trial.
“Today, Friday (26/6), KPK investigators together with public prosecutors have carried out the transfer of the suspect, evidence, and case file, or stage two, for suspect BBP in the alleged corruption case of bribery related to customs and excise at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise,” KPK spokesperson Budi told reporters on Friday (26/6/2026).
Budi stated that this transfer indicates the construction of the case along with the evidence obtained has been declared complete to be subsequently tested in the judicial process.
“Handling corruption cases in the customs sector is part of the law enforcement effort to maintain the integrity of public services, protect state revenue, and create clean and just governance,” Budi said.
Previously, the KPK had also transferred the case files of three Directorate General of Customs and Excise officials who are suspects in the importation corruption case. The three will also soon stand trial. They are:
