Annual SPT Reporting Reaches 11.1 Million as of 12 April
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has recorded that the number of annual Income Tax (PPh) SPT filings for the 2025 tax year has reached 11.1 million as of 12 April 2026. βThe progress of annual PPh SPT filings for the period up to 12 April 2026 is recorded at 11,112,624 SPTs,β said the Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP Ministry of Finance, Inge Diana Rismawanti, in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday. In detail, for the January-December 2025 fiscal year, the SPT filings come from 9,654,060 individual employee taxpayers, 1,182,082 individual non-employee taxpayers, 273,630 corporate taxpayers in rupiah, and 192 corporate taxpayers in US dollars. Meanwhile, for fiscal years differing from the calendar year that began reporting from 1 August 2025, the annual SPT filings come from 2,628 corporate taxpayers in rupiah and 32 corporate taxpayers in US dollars. This total consists of 16,875,690 individual taxpayers, 993,312 corporate taxpayers, 90,802 government agency taxpayers, and 227 Electronic System-Based Trading (PMSE) taxpayers. For note, the annual SPT filing deadline for individual taxpayers has been extended to 30 April 2026 from the original 31 March 2026. The DJP has also eliminated administrative sanctions for late payments and annual SPT filings for individual taxpayers until 30 April 2026. The Ministry of Finance continues to refine the Coretax system. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that improvements to the Coretax system will soon be made to address the practice of fraudulent SPT annual reporting, such as those widely offered on social media.
