Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has recorded that the number of annual Income Tax (PPh) SPT reports for the 2025 tax year has reached 10.85 million as of 6 April 2026. “The progress of annual PPh SPT reporting for the period up to 6 April 2026 is recorded at 10,852,655 SPTs,” said the Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday. When reviewed based on taxpayers, the SPT reports come from 9,468,238 individual employee taxpayers, 1,145,159 individual non-employee taxpayers, 236,832 rupiah-denominated corporate taxpayers, and 171 US dollar-denominated corporate taxpayers. This figure is for the annual SPT for the January–December 2025 book year. The DJP also recorded annual SPT reports for different book years, which began to be reported on 1 August 2025. The details are 2,223 rupiah-denominated corporate taxpayers and 32 US dollar-denominated corporate taxpayers. The total number consists of 16,688,762 individual taxpayers, 979,165 corporate taxpayers, 90,665 government agency taxpayers, and 227 Electronic System-Based Trading (PMSE) taxpayers. The reporting period for individual taxpayers’ annual SPT has been decided to be extended until 30 April 2026 from the original 31 March 2026. The DJP has also eliminated administrative sanctions for late payments and reporting of annual SPT for individual taxpayers up to 30 April 2026. The Ministry of Finance continues to refine the Coretax system. Most recently, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the Coretax system will soon be improved to address the practice of fraudulent SPT reporting, such as those widely offered on social media.
