Annual SPT Reporting for 2025 Reaches 8.7 Million by 22 March 2026
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) through the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has recorded the filing of Annual Income Tax Notification Letters (SPT Tahunan PPh) for the 2025 tax year reaching 8.7 million, precisely 8,783,653 SPTs, as of 22 March 2026.
Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that the majority of filings come from individual taxpayers with a January-December 2025 fiscal year.
“From the total filings, employee individual taxpayers submitted 7,753,294 SPTs, while non-employee individual taxpayers numbered 846,494 SPTs,” she revealed in a written statement on Monday (23/3/2026).
For corporate taxpayers with differing fiscal years that began reporting from 1 August 2025, the number of filings recorded is 1,535 SPTs for rupiah-based entities and 21 SPTs for US dollar-based entities.
In addition to SPT filings, Inge also noted the progress of activating accounts in the new tax administration system, Coretax DJP.
As of 22 March 2026, the number of taxpayers who have activated their Coretax accounts reaches 16,676,712 taxpayers.
Inge detailed that there are 15,631,073 from individual taxpayers, 955,005 corporate taxpayers, and 90,408 government institution taxpayers.
The deadline for filing annual SPTs for individual taxpayers is no later than 31 March 2026, while for corporate taxpayers it is 30 April 2026.
Therefore, the DJP urges taxpayers to submit their annual SPTs promptly before the deadline expires to avoid administrative sanctions and ensure smooth reporting.
