This year, 82,274 participants were declared successful in the academic achievement-based selection without a written examination. According to committee data, the majority of successful participants were accepted into their primary programme choices. The breakdown is as follows: 71,175 participants passed in their first choice, 2,466 in the second choice, 6,827 in the third choice, and 1,806 in the fourth choice.
Additionally, as part of efforts to equalise access to education, the Ministry of Religious Affairs provided affirmative passing status to 756 participants from underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.
The Chairman of the National PMB PTKIN Committee for 2026, Prof. Abd. Aziz, stated that the high number of registrants indicates increasing public trust in PTKIN.
“PTKIN now serves as a comprehensive educational solution that combines strong religious character with world-class academic standards. Notably, this year we introduced an innovation in mental health mapping for prospective students. We want to ensure that these future leaders are not only academically intelligent but also psychologically prepared,” said Prof. Abd. Aziz.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Quality Assurance Working Group, Prof. Zulfahmi Alwi, assured that the selection process was conducted transparently and accountably through strict data verification.
“Data integrity is a priority. We ensure that accepted students have superior academic potential and are able to realise their big dreams at PTKIN,” he added.
To check the passing results, participants can access the official announcement page by entering their National Student Identification Number (NISN).
