Announcement! Free Rides on MRT, TransJakarta, and LRT Tomorrow

Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has stated that all public transportation modes owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will be free tomorrow (24/4). The free ride facility for public transport is being implemented to commemorate National Transportation Day. “Happy National Transportation Day on 24 April,” said Pramono via a post on his Instagram account, viewed on Thursday (23/4/2026). “The DKI Jakarta Government, to welcome National Transportation Day, will provide facilities for convenience or free rides,” he continued. Pramono hopes that by making public transport free, it can change the habits of the community. He wants the public to become more accustomed to using public transport in their daily activities. “Why are we providing this? Because the Jakarta government wants the community to become more accustomed to using public transport facilities owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government,” he stated.
