Announcement! 2,843 Job Vacancies Opened with Salaries Equivalent to Jakarta's Minimum Wage

The Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to open 2,84lar3 labour-intensive job vacancies. The salaries for these positions will be in accordance with Jakarta’s Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

“Yesterday, we happened to hold a special plenary session to anticipate existing economic pressures. Consequently, the Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to launch this labour-intensive programme,” stated the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, at the Jakarta City Hall.

Pramono mentioned that the labour-intensive scheme was introduced to ensure people have access to employment. He expressed hope that the opening of these vacancies would assist the economic well-being of residents.

“The labour-intensive scheme is so that people can work; we are opening approximately 2,843 vacancies, and they will be paid an amount equivalent to the UMP in Jakarta,” Pramono said.

According to the Governor, the programme will run for three months, with any extension depending on the prevailing situation.

“The most important thing is to create a social buffer by ensuring people are working, which the Jakarta Provincial Government will implement during the first three months,” he explained.

Pramono noted that the primary requirement for applicants is possessing a Jakarta identity card (KTP). However, he has yet to detail the specific registration process.

“We will extend it later depending on the issues that arise. We are opening approximately 2,843 job vacancies that serve as a social buffer for families, where the only requirement is a Jakarta KTP,” said Pramono.
