Announcement! 10% Vehicle Tax Discount Until 24 March 2026

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Good news for drivers in West Java Province. The West Java Provincial Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has announced a 10% discount programme on Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) applicable during the Eid holiday period, from 18 to 24 March 2026.

This programme aims to encourage public compliance in paying vehicle taxes while providing relief ahead of Eid.

Bapenda West Java invites the public to wisely utilise this discount programme, especially amid rising needs before Eid. In addition to financial benefits, vehicle tax payments directly contribute to regional development, particularly infrastructure and public services.

“This programme is part of the West Java Provincial Government’s commitment to delivering easy, digital public services oriented towards community needs,” according to the official Bapenda Jabar website, Friday (20/3/2026).

This vehicle tax discount applies to one-year tax payments for all taxpayers in West Java.

Payments can be made through various digital channels, including KiosK Samsat (ATM Samsat) or Salira (Samsat Mayar Nyalira) available at the Main Samsat offices throughout West Java, the Sapawarga app, and the SIGNAL app (national digital samsat).

“Samsat officers are present every day at the Main Samsat to guide the use of KiosK Samsat, Salira, and Sapawarga,” it stated.

However, note that this programme does not apply to five-year tax payments or what is commonly known as plate replacement.

“To support services during the programme period, the Main Samsat remains open 24 hours and provides staff ready to assist the public in making digital vehicle tax payments,” the statement reads.
