Anita recounts her experiences with her husband, CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung, during a visit to China to study technological developments, particularly at e-commerce giant Alibaba. She personally observed how artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are increasingly replacing human roles. Technology there has spread to all sectors and, of course, impacts jobs that are usually performed by humans; these roles have already been replaced by technology, from analysis and design to report writing, she said in Sukoharjo, Central Java, on Thursday 21 May 2026, as reported by detikJateng. Anita emphasised the importance of adapting and continual learning. According to her, a diploma alone will not be enough to face the outside world that is changing as fast as lightning. She reminded everyone that we cannot rely on diplomas alone. We will fall behind if we do not want to learn in this era that changes very rapidly, she asserted. Anita is optimistic that her students can become winners. She notes that even the most advanced technology lacks the soul and life experience that CT Arsa Foundation students possess. “AI technology and assistive tools are not foes to be feared, but you must be able to adapt. You must be innovative; you must be agile,” Anita asserted. Anita stressed that CT Arsa Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty through quality education, not merely lip service. To date, CT Arsa Elite High School has graduated 2,011 high-achieving students from Deli Serdang and Sukoharjo. Not only the numbers are impressive, but 98% have gained places at top universities in Indonesia. They were admitted to ITB, UGM, Brawijaya, IPB, UI, and others, Anita said.
