Anis Matta Urges Gelora Cadres to Forge Unique Strategy for 2029 Election

Jakarta - Partai Gelora Indonesia Chairman Anis Matta has urged the party’s cadres and Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) members to prepare a political strategy that aligns with the party’s character in facing the 2029 General Election. “Understand the way large parties think, but do not follow their methods. We must find our own way to win Partai Gelora in 2029,” Anis said during a technical guidance session for Partai Gelora DPRD members in Jakarta on Saturday. Anis also encouraged cadres to study political history and international relations to understand how relatively small powers can survive and grow when facing larger challenges. According to him, the ability to think creatively and the courage to adopt different approaches are crucial factors in building a new political force amid increasingly fierce competition. “If you want to defeat a large party in an election, but your way of thinking is the way a large party thinks, you will never win,” he stated. He explained that in every major event, there are three main interacting factors: ideas, people, and resources. Of these three elements, ideas and the quality of people must be the primary focus for strengthening the party. “Therefore, what we must strengthen first among these three elements are ideas and people,” he said. “I feel a source of confidence after hearing all of you. We have many opportunities to grow larger in the upcoming 2029 Election,” Anis added. The technical guidance session was attended by Partai Gelora DPRD members from various regions as part of efforts to strengthen cadre capacity ahead of the forthcoming political agenda.
