Anies Reveals Tom Lembong Sends Eid Greetings While Outside Jakarta

Former Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan revealed that former Trade Minister Tom Lembong also conveyed Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah greetings, despite not attending the open house event at his residence in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026). “There are (Eid greetings). And Mr Tom Lembong happened to not be in Jakarta. Earlier he texted, he contacted, wished happy (Eid),” said Anies when met after the open house on Saturday. According to Anies, Tom Lembong is currently outside Jakarta and has not been able to attend the direct silaturahmi activities. Anies also mentioned that this year is an opportunity for Tom Lembong to enjoy the Eid holiday with his family, after last year he did not have the chance to do so. “Insyaallah later he will return to Jakarta, so that he can experience this year being able to holiday during Eid with family. Because last year during Eid, he could not holiday with family. So let them experience family holiday now,” he explained. On that occasion, Anies also stated that the open house event held at his residence aims to facilitate silaturahmi with the community who wish to meet directly. “If the time is not set, they might come at a time when I’m not at home. It would be a pity if they come here and I’m not at home,” he said. Anies added that in the event, the majority of residents came to silaturahmi, although some also directly conveyed various issues and aspirations.
