Anies Praises Prabowo's Son Didit: Humble and Worthy of Emulation

JAKARTA - Former Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, views Didit Prabowo, son of President Prabowo Subianto, as a young figure worthy of emulation for remaining humble despite growing up with various privileges. “Kudos to Mas Didit, hopefully he becomes an example,” he said when met by Kompas.com on Saturday. According to him, Didit’s humility is evident in his interactions with others, including when in crowds. “He was asked to sit at the front (first row), but he still sat at the back (second row),” he stated. Anies mentioned that Didit still demonstrated etiquette by greeting all the elders after the event concluded. “After it finished, he (Didit Prabowo) approached everyone, as the younger one approaching all the elders,” he said. “Even after the event, he asked, ‘Pak Anies, where is Bu Fery?’ like that. Because he has always been in contact with my wife all this time,” he continued. “It depicts a good personality, humble, modest. So humility is the result of good upbringing,” he remarked. He added that such an attitude shows that one can still respect others even with many privileges. “Hopefully this becomes a role model for children growing up with so many facilities but remaining humble, respecting parents, maintaining manners and etiquette,” he added.
