Anies Baswedan and Political Party Elites Attend NasDem Iftar Gathering
The NasDem Party's iftar gathering at NasDem Tower in Central Jakarta was attended by a number of national figures and political party elites. In addition to NasDem General Chairman Surya Paloh as host, the event held on the first day of Ramadan, Thursday 19 February 2026, was attended by Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) President Al Muzammil Yusuf and National Mandate Party (PAN) Chairman Zulkifli Hasan.
Also in attendance were Gerindra Party Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, PDI-P Central Executive Board Chairman and House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani, National Awakening Party (PKB) Deputy General Chairman Jazilul Fawaid, and Golkar Party General Treasurer Sari Yuliati. Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf and the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla were also present at the iftar event.
Beyond political party elites, former Jakarta Governor and presidential candidate of the NasDem-initiated Coalition for Change, Anies Baswedan, was also in attendance. Anies, who arrived several minutes after Surya Paloh, approached the NasDem General Chairman who was seated at a round table directly in front of the event stage.
However, Anies chose to sit at a separate round table. He was seated alongside Prananda Paloh and other NasDem figures. Meanwhile, Surya Paloh's round table was occupied by Muzammil Yusuf, Deputy House Speaker Saan Mustafa, and Jusuf Kalla, who arrived later. The guests were uniformly dressed in white koko shirts.
In his remarks, Paloh thanked his guests for taking the time to attend the NasDem event. He expressed hope that the gathering could serve as an occasion to strengthen relationships among the nation's leaders.
"We hope this can provide its own benefit so that the bonds of fellowship that have existed thus far remain well maintained," he said.
