Angry mob sets six stalls on fire

JAKARTA: A mob of about 200 unidentified people set six stalls on fire on Thursday night in Babakan Bondol kampong, Bantar Gebang, Bekasi municipality.

Police said on Friday that the mob opposed the presence of the six stalls for allegedly offering alcoholic drinks and prostitutes to customers, most of whom are inter-city truck drivers.

On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., hundreds of people arrived at the row of stalls and began throwing stones at them, then poured gasoline on the stalls and set them on fire.

The stalls' owners informed the police of the fire.
