Anggota TNI Ternyata Todong Pistol Mainan ke Sopir Taksi Online di Tangsel
TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.COM - An Indonesian Army (AD) soldier who allegedly brandished a pistol at an online taxi driver in South Tangerang (Tangsel) on Sunday 1 March 2026, turned out to be using a wooden toy pistol. “The individual soldier is suspected of brandishing an object resembling a pistol, which was later found to be a wooden toy pistol,” said Brigadier General Donny Pramono, Head of the AD Public Information Service, in a statement on Wednesday 4 March 2026. “We will ensure the legal process proceeds in line with applicable regulations, including tracing the chronology, witness statements, and collection of evidence,” he added. Based on initial investigations, the incident began with a disagreement arising from a minor vehicle collision. This prompted A to become emotional and subsequently brandish the toy pistol at the online taxi driver. Nevertheless, Donny stressed that there will be no tolerance for any legal violations. “If proven to violate the law, the individual will be processed firmly in accordance with the law and military discipline,” he said. The incident was uploaded by the account @dashcamindonesia. Initially, the footage showed both parties exchanging insults and nearly coming to blows. In the video, the incident appears to have started when the victim’s car collided with the offender’s vehicle near the scene. He reportedly got out of his car and was provoked into an argument. “He tried to smash my right-side mirror and my left mirror as well. I blocked him when he tried to smash the mirrors,” the post read. Not long after, the perpetrator allegedly produced a pistol and pointed it at the victim’s head. In circulating video, the man can be seen pointing what appears to be a firearm at the taxi driver.
