JAKARTA - Activist from the Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (Kontras), Andrie Yunus, has sent a letter to President Prabowo Subianto regarding the acid attack case he experienced.

The letter was delivered by the Civil Society Coalition to the Palace to be handed over to Prabowo on Friday (17/4/2026).

The activists also read Andrie’s letter aloud during an action held at the gate of the Presidential Palace Complex.

Through the letter, Andrie Yunus questions the progress of his case.

Yet, 30 days after the incident occurred, his friends have already struggled through meetings in the DPR to reports to Bareskrim Polri.

Andrie Yunus also protests why the four TNI soldiers who doused him with acid are being tried in a military court.

Andrie Yunus assesses that military courts never provide justice to victims, because the law does not reach the top commands.

Jakarta, 17 April 2026

To the Honourable

Mr Prabowo Subianto

President of the Republic of Indonesia

More than 30 days have passed, what is the progress of my case?

Sunday, 12 April 2026, marks 30 days of the planned murder attempt against me through the terror of an acid dousing.
