Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), Dimas Bagus Arya, stated that the condition of his deputy, Andrie Yunus (28), is gradually improving. Andrie has undergone a series of operations.

“Andrie has undergone a series of operations performed by the medical team at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) and, alhamdulillah praise the Lord, his condition is now improving,” said Dimas Bagus Arya, quoted by Antara on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

Dimas said Andrie was diagnosed with 20 percent burns on the right side of his body due to exposure to caustic liquid. Additionally, his right eye suffered 40 percent damage to the cornea.

“As I mentioned earlier, the good news is that Andrie’s condition is gradually improving,” he said.

Dimas, representing KontraS and Andrie Yunus, expressed thanks for the support from various parties who have accompanied the case to date.

“Because friends, we don’t have weapons, we don’t have a lot of money, we only have one thing: our solidarity and steadfastness as citizens helping one another,” he said.

Four Military Personnel to Face Charges

Previously, the Military District Court (Dilmil) II-08 Jakarta scheduled the first hearing of the alleged assault case against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus for Wednesday (29/4). At that hearing, the reading of the indictment against the defendants, who are active military members, is scheduled.

In this case, there are four military members designated as defendants. They consist of three officers and one non-commissioned officer, namely Captain NDP, First Lieutenant BHW, First Lieutenant SL, and Second Sergeant ES.

The case is registered under number 55/K/207/AL-AU/IV/2026 dated 13 April 2026. The file includes evidence, the four defendants, and eight witnesses to be presented at the trial.

Of the eight witnesses, five are military members, while the other three are civilians.
