Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kombes Iman Imanuddin, stated that his side remains committed to the case of the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have not found any civilian involvement up to the point when the case was referred to the TNI Military Police Centre (Puspom). “On this occasion, we will always commit to the law enforcement process being an accountable law enforcement process that is transparent and respects human rights. We will continue to carry out law enforcement efforts,” said Iman during a public hearing meeting (RDPU) with Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (31/3/2026). Iman stated that the case of the attack on activist Andrie Yunus has been referred to Puspom TNI. He emphasised that up to the referral, no civilian involvement has been found in this attack case. “Then every law enforcement action we carry out is certainly always based on legal facts obtained from the investigation process. We have already conveyed the handover process to Puspom,” Iman said. “And up to the handover process, we have not found any involvement from civilians up to the handover process, leadership,” he added. He also invited the public to pray for Andrie Yunus’s recovery. He conveyed thanks for every input from the community. “And finally, we express our thanks for all the input and corrections that will serve as guidance and medicine for us to do even better in serving the people of the nation and state,” Iman said.
