Andrian to defend his WBF title

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's Andrian Kaspari is undergoing intensive training as he prepares to defend his World Boxing Federation bantamweight title against Siam Yuthtnakorn here on April 17.

"I only had 10 days rest after I captured the WBF title on March 22. Since time is running short, I have to train hard to defend the title," Andrian said after training at the Pirih center in Surabaya on Tuesday.

Andrian captured the WBF title after defeating Edgar Maghanoy of the Philippines with a knockout in the first round at the Go Skate sport hall in Surabaya on March 22. Andrian also holds the International Boxing Federation Intercontinental title in the same division. (lnt)
