Andre The Doctor Arrives at Bareskrim: Legs Bandaged, Using a Wheelchair

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Fugitive drug lord Andre Fernando alias The Doctor arrived at Bareskrim Polri after being captured by the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri in Penang, Malaysia, on Sunday afternoon (5/4/2026).

Based on observations by Kompas.com at the Bareskrim office, in the National Police Headquarters complex, South Jakarta, on Monday (6/4/2026) at 19:24 WIB, Andre alias The Doctor alighted from the rear door of a Toyota Avanza with licence plate B 1477 BYR.

He was then assisted by several officers in civilian clothes and black masks to sit in a wheelchair.

Andre was seen wearing a long-sleeved black T-shirt and cream shorts, with a bald head and barefoot.

Both his legs appeared to be bandaged, while both his hands were bound with white cable ties.

Throughout the transfer process, Andre kept his head down, looking limp, and did not utter a single word.

Bareskrim Polri arrested the fugitive drug lord Andre alias The Doctor in Penang, Malaysia, on Sunday (5/4/2026).

Andre had previously assisted in the escape of a drug lord related to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.

“It is true that on Sunday, 5 April 2026, the wanted person named Andre Fernando alias Charlie alias The Doctor was successfully arrested in Penang, Malaysia,” stated the Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Pol Eko Hadi Santoso, in his statement on Monday (6/4/2026).

Eko said that Andre was captured by a joint team from Bareskrim and Polri’s International Relations Division.

Eko added that The Doctor is currently en route back to Indonesia under police escort.

“The wanted person is currently in flight to Indonesia, escorted by officers,” he concluded.
