Andre The Doctor Arrested Alone in Apartment, Has Lived in Malaysia Since 2024

Jakarta, Kompas.com - The Head of the Narcotics Investigation Center Task Force, Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury, revealed that Andre Fernando Tjhandra alias The Doctor was arrested alone in an apartment in the Penang area, Malaysia, on Sunday (5/4/2026).

“For now, he was alone; in Malaysia, he was by himself,” Kevin said when met at Bareskrim Polri in Jakarta on Monday (6/4/2026).

Based on examination results, The Doctor is known to have lived alone in Malaysia since 2024.

“From the interrogation results, (he has been living there) since 2024, Andre alias Charlie alias The Doctor,” he emphasised.

Kevin stated that Andre Fernando alias The Doctor is a narcotics supplier for two networks in Indonesia.

“The second one is the White Rabbit network in PIK as well as Gatsu,” he revealed.

In addition to being a supplier, The Doctor is known to have assisted Ko Erwin’s escape to Malaysia before he was eventually arrested by the Bareskrim Polri Narcotics Crime Directorate.

The Bareskrim Polri Narcotics Crime Directorate finally arrested the fugitive Andre Fernando alias “The Doctor” on Sunday (5/4/2026).

The Doctor is a narcotics supplier who previously helped drug lord Erwin bin Iskandar alias Koko Erwin escape by crossing into Malaysia via waterways before being caught by the police.

Meanwhile, Ko Erwin is a drug lord and also a payer of Rp 2.8 billion to the former Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.

For his role as a lord and controller of the syndicate, the suspect is charged with multiple articles, namely Article 114 paragraph (2), Article 132 paragraph (1), and Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of the death sentence.
