Andre Rosiade, head of the Gerindra Party’s West Sumatra regional council (DPD), conducted a courtesy visit with Gerindra party cadres in Dharmasraya district. During the meeting, Andre emphasised the importance of consolidation and collective hard work amongst party cadres to secure victory in the 2029 general election and to capture the DPRD chairmanship in Dharmasraya.

The activity took place on Monday, 2 March 2026. The event was attended by Dharmasraya regent and Gerindra cadre Annisa Suci Ramadhani, DPD Gerindra West Sumatra secretary and deputy chair of the West Sumatra DPRD Evi Yandri Rajo Budiman, DPC Gerindra Dharmasraya chairman Rosandi Sanjaya, members of the Gerindra faction in the Dharmasraya DPRD, and DPC, PAC, branch officers, and Gerindra volunteers across Dharmasraya.

In his remarks, Andre stressed that Dharmasraya represents a priority area for Gerindra because of the consistent public support for the party in previous elections.

“Dharmasraya is a priority for us. Its people are loyal—Prabowo won here in the 2019 and 2024 presidential elections. Thank you for the hard work of all cadres. Our target is clear: in 2029 we will seize the DPRD chairmanship in Dharmasraya,” Andre stated firmly.

The deputy chair of Commission VI of the House of Representatives also requested that cadres remain united and close to the community, and actively oversee central government programmes to ensure their benefits are truly felt by residents.

“Our struggle is not yet complete. Don’t only come during elections. Ensure that pro-people policies genuinely reach the homes of Dharmasraya residents. If anyone questions the Free Nutritious Meal programme or people’s schools, counter it with facts from the field,” he said.

Beyond political consolidation, Andre touched on various development programmes that will continue to be pursued for Dharmasraya, including people’s schools in Sungai Kambut, provision of clean water, electricity in remote areas, and improvements to road, bridge, and telecommunications network infrastructure.

Dharmasraya regent Annisa Suci Ramadhani reaffirmed her commitment to serving the community whilst strengthening the Gerindra Party during the cadre meeting in Dharmasraya. She stated that from the outset she had agreed with Andre Rosiade to use her leadership as a means of public service and party strengthening, including strengthening DPC and PAC structures through collaboration with field cadres.

Annisa also highlighted the emergence of various negative narratives against government programmes such as the Free Nutritious Meal initiative and people’s schools. According to her, criticism must be distinguished between beneficial policies and mistakes by individuals in the field. She considered these programmes vital for society, particularly in assisting low-income residents and improving the quality of the younger generation.

On this occasion, Annisa invited all Gerindra cadres in Dharmasraya to remain united and not be divided by political issues. She stressed that future political victory must be accompanied by concrete work for the people. “We must be united, strengthen our ranks, and prepare for victory in 2029 not merely to win, but to maintain pro-people policies,” she said.

Meanwhile, DPD Gerindra West Sumatra secretary Evi Yandri Rajo Budiman appreciated the unity of Gerindra cadres in Dharmasraya, which was credited with bringing Annisa Suci Ramadhani to become West Sumatra’s first female regional head. In the Gerindra cadre meeting in Dharmasraya, Evi Yandri noted that political victory in the region was inseparable from the work of cadres at all levels, from DPC, PAC to branches and volunteers.

Evi Yandri stressed that Gerindra in Dharmasraya had repeatedly demonstrated solidarity, as evidenced by victories in the 2019 and 2024 presidential elections in the region. According to him, unity is the main capital for facing future political agendas, including maintaining communication between party structures so that each issue is resolved organisationally and does not trigger internal divisions.

“DPC Gerindra Dharmasraya chairman Rosandi Sanjaya demonstrated magnanimity by promoting strengthened leadership to meet the 2029 victory target. This step is important to strengthen synergy between party cadres and the regional head from Gerindra, so that the target of seizing the DPRD chair position in Dharmasraya can be realised,” he said.

Furthermore, Evi Yandri requested that cadres remain active in the field and maintain loyalty to party policy and central government, including the Free Nutritious Meal programme. “Cadres must be able to explain the benefits of pro-people programmes to the community and maintain unity, because political victory in Dharmasraya can only be achieved through unity and genuine work by all cadres until the 2029 elections,” he stated.

DPC Gerindra Dharmasraya chairman Rosandi Sanjaya added that his office was ready to implement party directives and ensure cadres remain present amongst the community.

“Gerindra must always be close to the people and provide concrete solutions. We are ready to work hard for victory in 2029,” he said.
