Andre Rosiade Receives 'Legislator Driving Regional Development' at KWP Awards 2026
Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the Gerindra Party faction, Andre Rosiade, has officially been awarded at the Koordinatoriat Wartawan Parlemen (KWP) Awards 2026.
Andre was named ‘Aspirational Legislator and Driver of Regional Development’ at the event held at Nusantara IV Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan.
This award was given as a form of appreciation for the legislator from West Sumatra’s consistency in overseeing various national strategic projects in his constituency, as well as his courage in voicing the aspirations of the people at the central level.
The KWP judging panel assessed that Andre has a strong track record in ensuring that central government programmes have a direct impact on infrastructure and economic development in the regions.
Andre expressed gratitude and dedicated the trophy to the people of West Sumatra who have entrusted him with their mandate.
“Alhamdulillah, this award is not just a display collection, but a reminder and moral burden for me to work even harder. This is a victory for the people of West Sumatra who always provide input and encouragement to me in Senayan,” said Andre in a written statement on Friday (17/4/2026).
Andre also emphasised his role as the ‘voice of the people’ is an absolute obligation as a Gerindra Party cadre, in line with the directives of General Chairman Prabowo Subianto.
“As Gerindra cadres, we are taught to be present as solutions for the people. Development in the regions must not stall due to bureaucratic obstacles,” said Andre.
“I will continue to commit to overseeing the development of markets, toll roads, to business capital assistance for residents, so that economic equality is truly felt,” he added.
Andre is considered outstanding due to his intensity in going to the field (blusukan) and his effectiveness in communicating with ministry partners to execute development programmes.
The KWP Awards 2026 itself is a routine event aimed at motivating members of the DPR, DPD, and MPR RI to continuously improve the quality of their performance and transparency to the public through the mass media.
The KWP Awards 2026 is a biennial routine agenda with the theme ‘Escorting the Struggle, Appreciating Dedication: Together Realising Golden Indonesia’.
This event aims to objectively portray the performance of leaders and people’s representatives through press observations.
In this year’s edition, more than 60 award recipients were recorded. For information, this award-giving tradition has been consistent.
Such as the KWP Awards 2021 led by Marlen Erikson Sitompul and the KWP Awards 2023 helmed by Ariawan along with Samrut Lellosima.
The implementation of the KWP Awards 2026 also received broad support from several state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) and private companies that play a role in national development, including Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, GoTo, Astra, Hutama Karya, PLN, Taspen, Inalum, and others.
This support underscores the importance of collaboration among elements in realising better state governance.
