Andre Rosiade Receives Aspirations from PT Pos Workers' Unions, Pushes for Joint Solution with Danantara

House of Representatives (DPR) Commission VI Deputy Chairman Andre Rosiade stated that Commission VI will facilitate a follow-up meeting between workers’ unions, Danantara Asset Management, and the board of directors of PT Pos Indonesia. The meeting is to be held to discuss various issues raised by the workers. This was conveyed by Commission VI Chairman Anggia Erma Rini alongside Deputy Chairman Andre Rosiade during an audience with the Central Executive Board of the All-Indonesia Workers’ Union Association (DPP ASPIRASI), the PT Pos Indonesia Workers’ Union (SPPI), the Dignified and Strong PT Pos Indonesia Workers’ Union (SPPI-KB), and the PT Pos Indonesia Synergy Partner Union (SERASI POS) on Tuesday (11/8/2026). Andre said his party would take a role in bringing all relevant parties together. “We will facilitate a follow-up meeting between the workers’ unions, Danantara Asset Management, and the board of directors of PT Pos Indonesia. Essentially, we want this issue to be discussed together and a solution found,” said Andre. Andre stated that workers’ aspirations must be an important part of the process of reforming and transforming state-owned enterprises (BUMN). According to him, improving company performance must not ignore the certainty and protection of workers’ rights. During the audience, union representatives raised a number of issues, ranging from welfare and the protection of employees’ normative rights to the impact of corporate restructuring on the workforce. In addition, issues concerning partnership workers, including outsourced staff and courier partners, were also highlighted. The workers requested certainty regarding rights, welfare, workload, and labour protection amidst the changing business model of PT Pos Indonesia. The unions also conveyed aspirations related to corporate governance and transparency in PT Pos Indonesia’s internal reform process. According to him, all these issues must be placed within a constructive resolution framework. Therefore, his party chose to facilitate this dialogue. He said this step also demonstrates that the DPR’s oversight function regarding BUMN is not solely oriented towards corporate performance. However, Andre added, it also ensures that the company’s transformation proceeds with due regard for workers’ interests. “We want the best solution for the company as well as for the workers. PT Pos Indonesia must become healthier and stronger, but workers’ rights must also receive attention,” Andre stressed. His party confirmed it will oversee the follow-up to this meeting so that the aspirations conveyed can be discussed concretely with the relevant parties. Andre expressed hope that the reform of PT Pos Indonesia would strengthen the company and improve governance, while also providing certainty for workers.
