Andre Rosiade Praises Hajj Officers for Responsive Service to Pilgrims

No hajj officers depart with the intention of performing the pilgrimage themselves, but rather to serve the pilgrims – this is what we appreciate,” Andre said while attending the House of Representatives’ Hajj Task Force working meeting with the Government at Al Qim’ma Hall in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday (24 May 2026).

Drawing on his experience of multiple hajj pilgrimages, Andre noted that this year’s service to pilgrims has improved compared to previous years, attributing the enhanced quality to training conducted by the Ministry of Hajj (Kemenhaj).

“I have personally witnessed that in the past, when pilgrims exited Jamarat, exhausted and seeking guidance, hajj officers present were numerous but their work was unclear – busy loitering and smoking, with no care for the pilgrims,” Andre said.

“But now, after retraining and training, Kemenhaj has successfully transformed the mindset and culture of hajj officers,” he added.

Therefore, Andre believes this year’s hajj officers deserve recognition.

“I am convinced they have changed, and I can feel our hajj officers have changed. They come here, are provided for, and serve the pilgrims – this deserves our appreciation, unlike in the past,” Andre said.
