Andre Rosiade Leads Gerindra Laskar Training in West Sumatra, Urges Cadre Discipline and Loyalty
The Chairman of the Gerindra Party West Sumatra (Sumbar) branch, Andre Rosiade, led the opening ceremony for the Training and Education of the Gerindra Party West Sumatra Laskar Cadres at the Kandih Camping Ground, Sawahlunto City, West Sumatra. Andre stated that the party aims to develop cadres who are disciplined, loyal, and possess integrity, while deeply understanding the party’s values of struggle.
The event, which runs for three days from Friday to Sunday, is attended by approximately 500 participants from various regions across West Sumatra, including members of the Gerindra Party’s local branches and the youth, as part of the party’s regeneration process.
During the event, Andre Rosiade served as the leader of the opening ceremony. The assembly was also attended by the Vice Governor of West Sumatra, Vasko Ruseimy, alongside several members of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), the West Sumatra Regional House of Representatives (DPRD Sumbar), and various Regency/City Councils.
“This Laskar training is a vital part of the Gerindra Party’s regeneration process in West Sumatra. We want the cadres participating in this activity to possess discipline, loyalty, and integrity, as well as an understanding of the party’s struggle values,” Andre said in a statement on Friday (18/9/2026).
Andre noted that cadres participating in the training are expected to become part of the organisational strength that works alongside the community. He added that cadres must also understand the various strategic programmes of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration to effectively communicate them to the public.
“We also want cadres to understand the strategic programmes of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, so that when they are among the people, they are able to explain these programmes well. This is part of our effort to strengthen the capacity and quality of Gerindra cadres in West Sumatra,” he explained.
The Person in Charge of Training and Education for the Gerindra Party Central Board in West Sumatra, Masrul, added that the training is part of the process of creating militant cadres. He noted that militancy is not just about enthusiasm, but must be accompanied by an understanding of the organisation, discipline in performing duties, and commitment to the party’s struggle.
“This training is part of the education and regeneration process to create militant cadres. Militancy in the sense of having an understanding of the organisation, being disciplined in carrying out duties, and having a commitment to the party’s struggle,” said Masrul.
He expressed hope that participants would not only grasp the material provided but also be able to apply it in organisational activities and community life.
“We hope that after attending this training, participants will not only understand the material provided but also be able to implement it in organisational activities and community life. They must possess character, a spirit of togetherness, the ability to cooperate, and responsibility as cadres,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the West Sumatra Gerindra Training Committee, Hidayat, stated that participants were also given an understanding of the Gerindra Party’s Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), the manifesto of struggle, party chants, and the Party’s March. Participants also had the opportunity to interact with party leaders from both the executive and legislative branches.
“The goal is to form the character of cadres who are solid, disciplined, high-integrity, knowledgeable, and understand the party’s struggle platform and aspirations,” said Hidayat.
“We are very egalitarian, blending in, and also conducting communication and coordination. When cadres can understand the party’s manifesto of struggle, that is the core essence,” he added.
According to Hidayat, the training is also directed towards forming cadres who are disciplined, responsible, capable of working together, and possess a spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong). He hopes that these cadres will eventually serve as the party’s spearhead within the community, including in disseminating information regarding national strategic programmes.
“We also hope the spearhead at the grassroots level can provide explanations to the community regarding national strategic programmes such as MBG (Free Nutritious Meals), KDMP, as well as law enforcement, all in the framework of achieving greater national sovereignty in the future,” he said.
