Andre Rosiade Hands Over Ambulance to Pagambiran Residents, Emphasises Tangible Work

Wakil Ketua Komisi VI DPR RI Andre Rosiade handed over an ambulance to the residents of Pegambiran Ampalu Nan XX, Lubuk Begalung District, Padang, on Tuesday (14/7/2026), stressing that his duty is to ensure tangible benefits reach the community. The ambulance, channelled through the Berkah Pagambiran Foundation, is intended to serve public health needs, particularly for underprivileged residents requiring emergency services. The handover ceremony was attended by local officials, including the Lubuk Begalung Sub-district Head Ikrar Prakarsa, community leaders, and hundreds of residents.

In his remarks, Andre stated that the ambulance donation reflects his commitment to delivering real results rather than just rhetoric. He asserted that as a people’s representative, his primary task is to ensure that government programmes and budgets are genuinely felt by the public. He also provided updates on several strategic projects he is overseeing for West Sumatra, including the Pekanbaru-Padang Toll Road. He noted that issues concerning the Sicincin-Bukittinggi section have been resolved and expressed hope that construction would commence by the end of the year, adding that the toll road would boost the regional economy by facilitating agricultural distribution and increasing investment and public mobility.

Andre further reported that the reconstruction of the Gelora Haji Agus Salim Stadium is underway with a budget of approximately Rp340 billion to Rp400 billion, following full support from President Prabowo Subianto. He described the project as a long-overdue renovation and a sign of the central government’s attention to West Sumatra. In the water supply sector, he confirmed that the central government has allocated around Rp708 billion for the Padang City Drinking Water Supply System, comprising development in the Palukahan area and a new installation to replace the Gunung Pangilun intake.

Amrizal An, Chairman of the Berkah Pagambiran Foundation, expressed gratitude for the ambulance, pledging that it would be used to serve the entire community, especially the poor and BPJS PBI participants, free of charge. He said the foundation would act solely as a managing body to ensure the benefits are widely felt. Community figure Elly Thrisyanti also praised Andre Rosiade’s consistent efforts, noting that the ambulance is a much-needed resource that will ease the burden on residents requiring emergency healthcare. She remarked that Andre has continually delivered solutions through various development programmes and social assistance directly benefiting the people of West Sumatra.
