The Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Ikatan Keluarga Minang (IKM), Andre Rosiade, handed over aid to Minang migrants who were victims of a fire in the Pasar Jiung area, Kebon Kosong Urban Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, on Monday (15/6/2026). The assistance represents a form of care and solidarity from the extended IKM family towards Minang residents affected by the disaster.

During the event, attended by administrators from DPP IKM, DPW IKM DKI Jakarta, DPD IKM Jakarta Pusat, and DPC IKM Kemayoran, Andre distributed aid amounting to Rp1 million to each affected Minang migrant household. A total of 23 households received the assistance.

Andre stated that while the aid may not cover all the losses suffered by the victims, it is hoped it will ease their burden and serve as encouragement to rebuild after the tragedy. “This is a form of care and togetherness from the extended IKM family to help Minang migrants who are facing hardship. Hopefully, this assistance can slightly lighten the load for our brothers and sisters and motivate them to rise again,” said Andre Rosiade, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

According to Andre, the spirit of mutual cooperation and brotherhood is a value that must be continuously upheld by Minang migrants wherever they are. Therefore, IKM will always be present to assist Minang communities experiencing difficulties or disasters, including the fire that occurred on the night of 1 June 2026. Data presented during the event indicated that the fire in the Pasar Jiung area destroyed approximately 523 houses, with at least 23 Minang migrant households among the victims receiving aid from DPP IKM.

Secretary of DPD IKM Jakarta Pusat, Patriuni, expressed appreciation and gratitude to Andre Rosiade and the IKM leadership for directly providing assistance to the fire victims. “On behalf of the DPD IKM Jakarta Pusat board, I thank Mr Andre Rosiade and all ranks for their attention and aid to the community affected by the fire in Kebon Kosong Urban Village, Kemayoran. We hope this assistance proves useful and eases the burden on the impacted residents,” Patriuni said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of DPW IKM DKI Jakarta, Mochamad Yunaldi, assessed that Andre Rosiade’s actions demonstrate the strong solidarity and care of the extended Minang family towards fellow migrants. “Thank you to Mr Andre Rosiade for moving quickly to help the affected residents. This proves that Minang migrants are always united and help one another when our brothers and sisters face hardship. IKM will continue to be present in the community and serve as a big home for all Minang migrants,” Yunaldi stated.

On the same occasion, Andre also shared good news for Minang migrants who are football enthusiasts. He announced that DPP IKM would purchase 50,000 tickets for Semen Padang FC home matches at Patriot Bekasi Stadium and distribute them free of charge to Minang migrants. “The first and second Semen Padang FC matches have already had their tickets bought up by DPP IKM. A total of 50,000 tickets will be distributed free to Minang migrants. We show that Minang migrants are everywhere and ready to give full support to Semen Padang FC,” said Andre, who is President of Semen Padang FC.

Andre added that this support is part of efforts to strengthen ties among Minang migrants while boosting the morale of Semen Padang FC, which will play its season temporarily in Bekasi as Haji Agus Salim Stadium in Padang is being rebuilt. The aid handover event was warm and familial, with the presence of Andre Rosiade and IKM administrators serving as tangible proof that the spirit of togetherness and social care continues to be upheld by the extended Minang family, especially when fellow migrants need a helping hand.
