The Governor of Banten, Andra Soni, visited the completed ‘Bangun Jalan Desa Sejahtera’ (Bang Andra) project in Pandeglang Regency. Andra requested the Pandeglang Regency Government to allocate a budget for road repairs.

Andra, along with his entourage, visited the Suksame-Kobangkondang road in Pandeglang on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The 1.4-kilometer-long and 4-meter-wide road was built using IDR 4.8 billion from the Banten Province Regional Budget (APBD).

Andra Soni stated that the road was previously in poor condition. The Banten Province Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department then carried out repairs using a concrete method.

“I received information that there was a road that was not suitable for use. Fortunately, this road is located in one of Pandeglang’s rice-producing areas, passing through a school and a densely populated residential area. Based on a proposal from the village head, it was then verified, checked, and coordinated with the regent, so this road was built,” he said.

Andra stated that Pandeglang Regency still needs assistance with road repairs. It is known that in 2025, Pandeglang did not allocate a budget for road repairs.

“Let’s take care of it together, because building requires costs, and the Banten Province is trying to help regencies with low fiscal capacity, such as Pandeglang, to build village roads,” he said.

He hopes that the Pandeglang Regency Government can allocate a budget for road repairs. In addition, the Banten Provincial Government is also proposing assistance to the central government.

“We also hope that the regent can allocate a budget to build village roads together with the province. At the same time, we are also proposing assistance to the central government,” he said.
