Ancol warns visitors to be cautious of extreme weather during Iduladha long weekend
Unpredictable weather continues across several regions in Indonesia, particularly along Jakarta’s northern coast. Ancol Taman Impian management has urged visitors spending the Iduladha long weekend to remain vigilant about weather conditions.
“We encourage the public to monitor weather updates from official agencies like BMKG or follow Ancol Taman Impian’s social media channels,” said Daniel Windriatmoko, Corporate Communication Manager of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
The park advises visitors to pay attention to weather changes and carry extra protective gear, as coastal Jakarta’s weather is currently volatile.
“We recommend visitors prepare with hats, umbrellas, and spare clothing, especially for those visiting the beach, ensuring proper facilities are in place,” he added.
Beyond physical and logistical preparedness, Ancol management also urges visitors to maintain the cleanliness of the tourist area during the long weekend, which is expected to attract over 150,000 people.
“We hope the public does not leave litter; please take waste home or use the bins provided,” Daniel concluded.
On the first day of Iduladha 1447, Wednesday 27 May 2026, Ancol saw a rise in visitors, with 34,943 people.
Ancol has declared a long weekend from 27 May to 1 June 2026 to celebrate Iduladha, targeting over 150,000 visitors over the six days.
The park offers various events and promotions for visitors from across the country, including the Arabian Feeding Show at Sea World, Animal Parade & Winter with Penguin at Samudra, The Jungle Heroes 2 at Jakarta Bird Land, and Parade Wonderland at Dufan.
One of the most popular attractions is the exotic animals brought in from around the world.
Cirebon Station is filled with railway passengers returning to their respective regions.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded a significant increase in passenger volume during the peak of the long weekend return travel.
Cumulative data from Wednesday 13 May to Sunday 17 May at 07:00 WIB shows Tegal Station served 26,340 passengers.
A total of 554,407 passengers used long-distance and local train services across Java and Sumatra during the first three days of the Ascension Day long weekend.
