Tourist boats operating in Ancol, North Jakarta, have received a sailing fitness certificate or Small E-Pass on Monday (11/5/2026). The Ancol tourist boats in question are wooden boats owned by local fishermen. Currently, tourists can sail on Ancol tourist boats with fares starting from Rp 20,000 per person per trip. “The receipt of the Small E-Pass is an important step to ensure that all maritime tourism operations in Ancol meet applicable safety standards and sailing regulations,” said Vice President Corporate Affairs of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Martua Hami Siregar, in an official statement on Tuesday (12/5/2026). With the addition of life jackets, it is hoped that this will further enhance visitor comfort and strengthen safety standards for tourist boats at sea. It should be noted that the Small E-Pass programme is an official document for ships under 7 GT that serves as proof of the vessel’s legality, compliance with sailing safety aspects, and can be used as supporting documentation for business financing access. The handover of the Small E-Pass was carried out by the Head of the Main Port Authority and Harbour Master’s Office (KSOP) of Tanjung Priok, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, and Captain Heru Susanto, to the Management of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, represented by Martua Hami Siregar as Vice President Corporate Affairs, at Ancol Festival Beach.
