Ancol teams up with PPJI and Dompet Dhuafa to aid 2,000 orphans
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, through the Yayasan Baiturrahman Jaya Ancol (YBJA), has partnered with the Indonesian Catering Service Providers Association (PPJI) and Dompet Dhuafa to provide aid to 2,000 orphans from across Jakarta and its environs as part of Ramadhan social welfare initiatives.
A total of 2,800 people attended the event, comprising 2,000 orphans and dhuafa as beneficiaries, as well as Qur’an hafiz, and 800 collaborators, volunteers, committee members and invited guests, said Agung Praptono, Corporate Secretary of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, in Jakarta on Sunday.
The event, titled Santunan Ramadhan 1447 Hijriah under the banner Ramadan Meriah Penuh Berkah (REMEMBER), not only featured distributions of aid and an iftar together, but was also packaged in an edutainment format—education and entertainment.
According to Agung, the beneficiaries were given space to perform on the main stage under the concept of the “Panggung Milik Semua” (Stage Belongs to All) so that they are not only recipients but also important participants in the celebration of goodness.
He explained that in this collaboration, Ancol provided the venue at Ecovention Hall and facilitated entry access into the tourism area for participants, guests and organisers.
This support is part of the company’s commitment to carrying out its Corporate Social Responsibility and Environment (TJSL) programme on a sustainable basis.
Meanwhile, collaborators contributed through provision of iftar packages, donation funds, gifts for participants, and through the involvement of volunteers and sponsor partners.
“This collaboration is a meeting place of goodness that brings together various elements of society in a single meaningful moment,” Agung said.
It is hoped that the values of care, collaboration and unity can continue to grow and become an inspiration that kindness will feel broader and have greater impact when undertaken together.
“Ramadan Meriah Penuh Berkah because sharing is the best way to celebrate victory,” Agung said.
