“The AGMS also approved the company’s management structure to strengthen future business strategies,” he said.
Responding to global challenges
Irfan continued that at the AGMS, PJAA also discussed the company’s future steps in anticipating economic pressures and high global uncertainties. Considering that Ancol operates in the entertainment sector, which is potentially impacted by increasingly uncertain global dynamics.
“We will continue to pay attention to several matters related to Ancol’s future growth and how to make Ancol a tourist destination for both Jakarta residents and those from outside Jakarta. In addition to being an entertainment destination, it will also become an educational destination. Therefore, we ensure that a more contemporary face of Ancol can be presented,” he clarified.
Ancol is assured to innovate further, especially in the near future towards Jakarta’s 500th anniversary in 2027.
Ancol visitors are targeted not only from Jakarta and outside Jakarta, but also foreigners.
“Especially linked to Jakarta’s 500th anniversary next year, the request from Mr Governor (Pramono Anung) as the major shareholder is very clear, to make Ancol more advanced, more vibrant, and become the face of Jakarta,” he said.
