Ancol Reclamation to Be Completed by 2030, These Are the Facilities to Be Built

PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA) is targeting the construction of the 65-hectare Ancol area reclamation project to begin in February 2027.

President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Syahmudrian Lubis, said the tender process for a strategic partner is targeted to be completed by December 2026, so that construction can begin in February 2027.

“By December 2026 there will already be a winner determined, so we hope that by February 2027 work can begin,” said Syahmudrian during a meeting of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPRD) in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (8/9).

He explained that the reclamation consists of two zones, measuring 35 hectares and 30 hectares respectively. The entire area is targeted to be formed and established by 2030.

The development of the area will adopt a mixed-use concept. Facilities to be prepared include an amusement centre, a hospital, apartments, hotels, and various other commercial functions. Construction will be carried out together with a strategic partner selected through a tender process.

The company is targeting potential partners from the property, recreation, and land development and reclamation industries.

The reclaimed land intended for use as a depot is ready, although soil improvement and other preparations are still needed.

The Ancol area reclamation project, initiated during the era of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, was previously halted due to legal basis issues.
