Ancol offers free entry on 17 August
The management of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk is waiving entry fees for visitors to the Ancol Taman Impian area on Monday, 17 August, to enliven the 81st anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. “Ancol is providing an opportunity for the public to enjoy the Ancol area without being charged a person entry fee on Monday, 17 August 2026, by making a reservation in advance,” said Corporate Communication of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Daniel Windriatmoko, in Jakarta on Saturday. He said that through this programme, Ancol invites the entire community to make use of a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable public space. “Ancol as a place to gather with family, friends, and loved ones, while enjoying various competitions and entertainment in the Ancol area,” he said. He said that in enlivening the commemoration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Ancol Taman Impian is again presenting a grand celebration entitled “Merdekaria: The People’s Celebration” on 16 and 17 August 2026. Merdekaria 2026 invites the entire community to celebrate Independence Day as a unifying momentum. Through a combination of music concerts, joint sports, traditional competitions, and various recreational activities, Ancol presents a celebration experience that can be enjoyed by all ages and all groups. For two consecutive days, thousands of visitors will be treated to a variety of interesting activities, starting from the Wellness Festival, Creator Day, and Merdekaria Music on 16 August, to the peak of the celebration on 17 August with a Flag Ceremony, Colossal Panjat Pinang, various people’s competitions (Merdekaria Funlympics), and the Merdekaria Fest music performance. He said the terms for free entry to the Ancol area special for Independence Day are by making a reservation on the Ancol website until Sunday, 16 August. This free ticket is valid for one visit on Monday, 17 August, and one ticket is for one person. “This free ticket does not include vehicle and recreation tickets. The quota is also limited,” he said.
