Ancol expects Idul Fitri influx
JAKARTA (JP): Ancol Dreamland is expecting an influx of least 620,000 visitors daily during Idul Fitri and a few days after the Moslem holidays.
"There will be various attractions featuring many popular Indonesian artists and entertainers," said Sapardjo Atmotenojo, the director of the PT Pembanguan Jaya Ancol, which manages the recreation center located on Jakarta Bay in North Jakarta.
He estimated that there would be around 620,000 people, 8.2 percent more than on other days, visiting the Ancol Dreamland during Idul Fitri, which will fall on March 3 and 4, and on the days following the holiday, which is known locally as Lebaran.
Included among the musicians to entertain the visitors are bands that used to be very popular in the 1970s, such as the D'Loyd Group, the Favorite Group and the Panbers Group, Antara reported. (bas)
