MANDALIKA, KOMPAS.com - Ananda Mikola has been officially appointed as the Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association, replacing Priandhi Satria.
This appointment is part of a new strategy to strengthen the position of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit as a hub for Indonesian motorsport.
Ananda is not a new figure in the national racing world. The son of racing legend Tinton Soeprapto has competed in various international events, including Formula 3 and Formula 3000. He is also active in racing management and currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association’s Achievement Sports division.
Ananda said that the position is a big responsibility to make Mandalika more well-known internationally and also help develop young Indonesian racers.
“Mandalika is a national asset and I want to make it a center for the development of national motorsport as well as a source of pride for Indonesia at the international level,” said Ananda in a statement on Friday (15/5/2026).
Currently, the Mandalika Circuit hosts various international and national racing events.
For the 2026 season, several major events are scheduled to take place in Mandalika, including the Indonesian MotoGP, the Asia Road Racing Championship, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia, and the Mandalika Racing Series.
In addition, Mandalika also regularly hosts various national motorsport events, track days, and young racer development programs.
With the new leadership, Ananda Mikola’s efforts to bring Mandalika to a higher level in the international racing world are anticipated.
