BEKASI – Ananda Babelan Hospital in Bekasi Regency has addressed complaints from a patient’s family who were charged Rp 222,000 in parking fees after three days of parking a motorcycle at the facility.

Gozali, the Head of Parking Security at Ananda Babelan Hospital, explained that the hospital implements differentiated parking tariffs for members and non-members. Members receive special rates, whilst non-members are charged regular rates.

Gozali stated that the hospital had advised families of inpatients to register their vehicles as parking members to receive discounted rates.

“When patients are admitted, we already have an announcement for inpatients to register for parking membership, whether for motorcycles or cars. For motorcycles, it costs approximately Rp 20,000 for three days,” Gozali said when met by Kompas.com at the hospital on Friday (27 February 2026).

Gozali noted that regular tariff conditions are also displayed at the parking area entrance, namely Rp 3,000 per hour for motorcycles with no maximum parking duration limit.

According to Gozali, the patient’s family paid Rp 222,000 in parking fees because the motorcycle was not registered as a member. If a vehicle is not registered as a member, the tariff is calculated based on accumulated parking hours.

“He should have understood why the rates differ. Now if he does not make a membership, multiply four days the motorcycle stayed here, what is the amount,” he said.

Gozali believed the matter should have been resolved through communication with the parking management.

“This could actually be discussed properly. Meaning, when he indeed feels burdened by the nominal amount, he could at least request a solution, rather than having to (make it viral),” he said.

Separately, Amarulloh, Head of Supervision and Control Section at the Bekasi Regency Transportation Authority (Dishub), stated that the parking tariff at Ananda Babelan Hospital does not comply with regional regulation provisions.

This finding emerged after the Transportation Authority conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at the hospital on Thursday (26 February 2026).

“The tariff being applied does not comply with Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2025,” Amarulloh said when confirmed on Friday (27 February 2026).

Amarulloh explained that according to Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2025, the parking tariff for motorcycles for the first hour is Rp 2,000. Meanwhile, car parking tariffs range from Rp 4,000–5,000, depending on the number of vehicle axles.
