Analyst Elrika views PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk’s (PGEO) strong performance as reinforcing the bright prospects for geothermal investments. Jakarta, investor.id – PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) or PGE recorded solid performance throughout 2025, which is seen to further solidify the investment prospects in Indonesia’s geothermal energy sector. The company booked revenue of US$432.73 million with net profit of US$137.67 million, while also achieving the highest production in history (all-time high). This performance was presented at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2025 fiscal year, which also highlighted the strengthening of the company’s business fundamentals amid the global energy transition trend. “Looking at the direction of Indonesia’s energy transition, PGEO’s business has great potential to continue growing. There are still many geothermal fields being explored and with potential to be exploited. This becomes a particular attraction for investors,” said Elrika in a press statement on Friday (24/4/2026). Elrika added that PGEO’s stable financial performance also reflects the management’s ability to manage technical and operational risks in a sector known for its high complexity. According to Elrika, geothermal energy is one of the most stable renewable energy sources with a capacity factor that can reach around 90% and able to operate 24 hours.
