Analyst: Didit Prabowo's Visits to Families of Former Presidents Very "Humble"

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Political analyst from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Adi Prayitno, views the visit by President Prabowo Subianto’s son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo alias Didit Prabowo, to the residences of Indonesia’s 4th President Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur and 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) as a display of humble and unassuming conduct.

“Very humble and very unassuming. Didit is a figure who can serve as an example in weaving together unity in politics without barriers,” said Adi when contacted by Kompas.com on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

“It can also be said that Didit is Prabowo junior in terms of character and political style,” he added.

Adi stated that it is not easy for a son of a sitting president to collaborate with all parties, especially the families of previous former presidents.

“It requires unassuming nature as well as political maturity,” said Adi.

Previously, Didit Prabowo paid visits to the residences of Indonesia’s 4th President Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur and 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) during the Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran 2026 festivities.

In the post, Didit was seen wearing a white koko shirt, sitting on a carpet while conversing with Gus Dur’s wife, Sinta Nuriyah.

Didit also captured the warm moment by taking a selfie with Sinta Nuriyah and Yenny Wahid.

Not only that, Didit brought a book titled “Soto Nusantara in Three Languages” and a book on Javanese Philosophy.

In addition to Gus Dur’s family, Didit also visited the residence of President SBY in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.

In that meeting, Didit did not forget to capture the visit moment with a selfie together with SBY and SBY’s two sons, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono, as well as SBY’s two daughters-in-law, Aliya Rajasa and Annisa Pohan.
