Anak Krakatau Erupts Again, Singapore Airlines Flights Delayed
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Singapore Airlines (SIA) has postponed the schedules of several flights on Tuesday (8/9/2026). This applies to three journeys from Singapore to Jakarta and three in the reverse direction, from Jakarta to Singapore.
“Advisory on Singapore Airlines flights affected by the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau,” read a post on SingaporeAir’s official X page, as seen by CNBC Indonesia.
“Due to volcanic activity from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau in Indonesia, the following Singapore Airlines (SIA) flights on 8 September 2026 have been rescheduled,” it added.
In detail, the Singapore-to-Jakarta flights affected by the changes are:
• SQ950, originally scheduled to depart at 06.20, will now depart at 13.10.
• SQ952, originally scheduled to depart at 07.40, will now depart at 13.40.
• SQ956, originally scheduled to depart at 09.05, will now depart at 19.30.
Meanwhile, the three Jakarta-to-Singapore flights are:

• SQ955, originally scheduled to depart at 09.25, will now depart at 15.35.
• SQ957, originally scheduled to depart at 11.00, will now depart at 21.25.
Singapore Airlines said the times listed are local times. The company stressed that all other flights are currently operating as scheduled.
“As the situation remains fluid, customers should visit our Flight Status page (https://tinyurl.com/389fx3ys) for the latest information on their flights,” the management added.
Meanwhile, eight additional relief flights between Singapore and Jakarta on 8 September 2026 will also be operated to move customers affected by these flights. However, this will depend on seat availability.
“SIA will progressively rebook affected customers on the next available flights as services between Singapore and Jakarta resume,” it added.
“SIA apologises to all affected customers for the inconvenience caused,” Singapore Airlines said.
