ANA to start Bali flight
TOKYO (Reuter): All Nippon Airways Co Ltd (ANA) said yesterday that it would start flights between Tokyo's Narita International Airport and Denpasar on the Indonesian island of Bali, via Jakarta, on Oct. 30.
An ANA spokeswoman said the Transportation Ministry approved the airline's registration for the flights and issued a license on Thursday. ANA will offer twice-weekly flights on the new route using Boeing 767-300 aircraft, she said.
"It is the first time ANA will offer a direct route to Indonesia, and we expect around 27,000 passengers during the first year," she said.
